In October of 2020, Calgarians were shocked to hear that the celebrated bobsled from Alberta-shot Cool Runnings had been stolen from Ranchman’s Cookhouse on MacLeod – but we’ve got some good news!
While how exactly the crime was committed remains a mystery to the public, a part of the gifted vehicle has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner, according to a recent statement made by CPS.

“Thanks to information recently received, police were able to locate part of the sled,” they wrote – adding that they’re still searching for the bottom half of the vehicle, which is valued at $10,000.
With no suspects identified as of right now, police are asking anyone with valuable information to contact the non-emergency police line (403-266-1234) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 – sooner rather than later.
