Some people are dog lovers, others prefer cats, hamsters or snakes – but you’re different. Like the folks behind Calgary-based company, Plantsie, you were born to be a fern parent and soon there will be one more spot where you can flaunt that green thumb.
Just in time for the gloomy winter months, this ultra-unique startup has announced that it will be opening a new location, and you’re definitely going to want to check it out.
Described as a Build-A-Bear type shop, Plantsie does things a little bit differently.
Here, Calgarians are encouraged to not only choose a leaf baby, and a pot from their wide selection, but are meant to give it a name and a personality!
From powerhouse to optimist, you can give your chosen greenery a deeper meaning – and who doesn’t like a nice little reminder to stay positive or strong?
“We are delighted to welcome Plantsie to the Southcentre family,” says Alexandra Velosa, SC’s Marketing Manager in a press release.
“Plants offer so many wonderful benefits, from brightening up a home to improving mental health, and we know that Plantsie will be bringing something new and exciting for shoppers to enjoy.”
If you’re interested in checking it out, Plantsie opens on November 1st on the second level of the shopping centre.
