Pillar and Post Hotel & Spa has transformed its gardens into a magical winter wonderland with twinkling lights, warming fires and free skating. Explore the Vintage Hotels’ Christmas Wonderland Gardens this holiday season in one of Ontario’s prettiest towns.
The Christmas season has taken over the six-acre garden space at Pillar and Post, offering visitors a wholesome experience as they stroll the grounds, admiring the light displays and warming up by a fire pit.
Snap some pictures with the wonderfully decorated Christmas tree or visit their holiday selfie station.
Its Monet-inspired landscapes paint a wonderful backdrop for any holiday picture.
Fuel up on festive eats at The OutPost. You’ll find specialty hot and cold drinks and snacks too.
Here is where you will also find skate and helmet rentals for its illuminated skating rink.
You read that right! The showstopper of it all is the wonderful, warmly lit skating rink that is free to enjoy.
Glide around the rink under the night sky – it’s truly magical.
“The skating rink at Pillar and Post has become a popular attraction,” shares the hotel & spa.
“We hope that we will be open for you to skate, glide and enjoy this 120 x 60 rink by the second week of December, though the rink’s opening day is weather dependent.”
It’s important to note that skate rentals are available through The OutPost for $5 but are limited. Guests are encouraged to bring their own if possible.
As for helmets, all skaters under 12 are required to wear one. They are available to rent at The OutPost too and are free.
There’s also an outdoor holiday movie experience at The Gardens every Friday and Saturday night from Dec. 6, 2024, to Jan. 4, 2025.
Movies begin at 5 p.m. and seating is limited. However, this experience is only available to hotel guests who opt for the Christmas Wonderland Package.
Pillar and Post told Curiocity that a complimentary festive hot drink and snack from The Outpost are included in the package per guest, along with a Vintage Hotels Fleece blanket.
