Though it was Singapore that placed first in the world, Canada’s ranking continues to rise and for this reason, we’re delighted!

Released quarterly, this list is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) and ranks 199 passports from all over the world according to the number of destinations residents can access without a prior visa.

As we previously reported, Canada actually placed 8th in January of this year, alongside a handful of other countries including Australia, Greece, and Malta – but we’ve since gotten a one-spot bump!

Now 7th overall, Canada can travel to 185 countries and only ties with Greece, while the U.S. placed 8th overall with Lithuania.

The most powerful countries? They can be seen below:

1. Singapore (192)
