Ready to take in some serious fall views? Situated north of Gatineau-Ottawa is the picturesque Mont Morissette Regional Park, which has an elevation of 400 metres.

Currently surrounded by breathtaking fall colours, the regional park contains 13 km of well-marked trails to explore, so if you want to take it all in before the leaves are gone – time is of the essence.

Best of all? The park features an 18-metre observation tower, which gives visitors sweeping 360 views of a dozen lakes and mountain vistas.

At the mountain’s summit are a lookout point and a shelter with a wood stove, if you need to warm up during the winter months after doing some snowshoeing.

The regional park is a three-hour and 45-minute drive from Montreal, and about an hour and a half’s drive away from Ottawa.
