This sandy beach is located in an undisturbed & serene Ontario park

Ready for your next Ontario adventure? We’re heading north once again to Pakwash Provincial Park. This serene and secluded park serves as a peaceful getaway for those wishing to escape their concrete jungles. With a beautiful nature trail, sandy beach, and campgrounds for overnight adventures, here’s what to know about Pakwash Provincial Park.

Closer to the border of Winnipeg and Ontario than it is to drive from Toronto, is Pakwash Provincial Park. According to Ontario Parks, this park is known for its fishing spots where you can catch a walleye, Northern Pike, or Lake Trout.

You can also paddle along Pakwash Lake as it has a few northern canoe routes to enjoy. If you rather stay on land, go on the Nature Trail – a five km long walk that crosses a marsh, passes a beaver pond and through the woods.

This park is also home to a sandy beach with shallow warm water so you can end your evening with a splash.

If you’re here to camp, you can choose one out of the 50 sites available. And if you’re lucky, you can even snag a campsite that is located away from the main campground and has its own beachfront view.

Fees

According to Ontario Parks, the cost of a Day Use permit depends on the time of the year whether it be on or off-season, and by park. Camping fees can be viewed here as well.

For more park-specific fees, contact the park directly.
