Well, Seattle, turkey day is here. Whether you have big dining plans or are laying low at home, you may be wondering what is open and closed on Thanksgiving in Seattle. We’re here to help.
As Thanksgiving is one of the US’ 12 federal holidays, most government offices and see private businesses will be closed.
Closures on Thanksgiving include banks and credit unions, government offices, libraries, Seattle Art Museum, Museum of Pop Culture, and the King County Water Taxi.
Some closed businesses include Pike Place Market, Walmart, Costco, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Dick’s Drive-In.
Keep in mind, if you will be driving around the city, metered parking will not be enforced.

As for what’s open, the answer is very little. You may find that some larger chain stores will remain open for shortened hours.
Some stores that will be open with adjusted hours include Sprouts Farmers Market, Safeway and Alberstons. Both Walgreens and CVS will keep most of their 24 hour locations open.
So if you have last minute shopping needs be they errands or groceries, make sure you do them on Wednesday.
