What comes to mind when you think of Elora, Ontario? If you’re familiar with the town, then you’re probably aware that it’s known as ‘Ontario’s most beautiful village’. And for good reason! It’s stunning across the board, but this month it’s getting a makeover. In fact, it’s turning into a spooky paradise for all to see. Let’s take a look at the Twilight Zoo in Elora, part of its annual Monster Month.

So, what exactly is the Twilight Zoo? In short, it’s a collection of spooky lantern sculptures set up around town that turn this gorgeous village into a haunted (but still gorgeous) Halloween hotspot. The Twilight Zoo runs from October 1st to October 31st and features dozens of disturbingly creepy sculptures all around downtown.

They even have a map of all of the monsters that will be creeping around town so you can make your queasy quest even more efficient.

Along with the sculptures, Monster Month features a ton of other fantastic events with spooky themes. From ghost walks to the cemetery tours, to Celtic Oracle ceremonies and more, this is truly the place to be if you love Halloween.

Now, since COVID has once again reared its ugly head in the province, be sure to be mindful before road-tripping here. Be sure to check ahead of time that outside guests are allowed and to follow all protocols and procedures in place.
