It might be a bit early for festival season, but that doesn’t mean that Vancouver is without great music. In fact, a two-day music and art festival is coming to Vancouver next month, and it’s completely free to attend!
As the name suggests, The Ocean Festival brings together talented musicians, artists, and educators across Canada to celebrate the vibrant marine wildlife and ecosystems of the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific Coasts. Presented by the Fifth International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC5), the festival was created to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the global ocean for current and future generations.
As such, the live music, art, films, interactive displays, and family-friendly activities across the two days in February are centred around fostering connections with the sea. from Alan Doyle to The Beaches, here are all the performing artists slated to take the stage:
Friday, February 3rd:Â
- 5:30 pm – Old Soul Rebel
- 7:15 pm – Delhi to Dublin
- 8:20 pm – Alan Doyle
- Special performances by the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy
