This BC train from the 1950s takes you on a magical Christmas-themed journey

The holiday season would not be complete without the return of Squamish’s beloved North Pole Express – a Christmas-themed train ride in a vintage locomotive from the 1950s. If your favourite holiday movie is the Polar Express, this is the perfect way to bring out your inner child.

Put on by The Railway Museum of BC every year, the Express takes passengers on an adventurous train ride from Candyland Station to the North Pole. Best of all? Tickets are on sale now, which means you can go ahead and plan your family’s first holiday excursion of the year.

Along the way, passengers can enjoy warm cookies and cocoa, sing Christmas carols, and much more. And eventually, they’ll make it to Mr. and Mrs. Claus for a family photoshoot.
