According to Muskoka Steamships, “In 1887, long before the era of modern highways, the R.M.S. Segwun was built in Glasgow, Scotland, and assembled at Gravenhurst. The ship was originally a side paddlewheel and served as a connection – transporting passengers, mail, and freight from Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst to cottages, resorts and homes that were beginning to populate the Muskoka Lakes.”

The ship still runs and you can check it out for yourself, opening for the season as of June 28th, 2024.

The ship takes off at two different time slots, from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM.

Prices start at $61.90 per adult with the option to add a two-course lunch for $35.95.

If you take the 2:30 cruise there’s also an option for high tea priced at $37.95.

Sights, history, food, high tea, what else could you need?!

While the cruises don’t open until end of June they are available to book now so be sure to grab tickets ASAP!

Enjoy the waters aboard the R.M.S. Segwun at Muskoka Steamships, Ontario!
