Since its inception, Shelter has made a name for itself as one of the premier cocktail bars in Calgary. How have they done it? Forty Creek Whiskey Tasting

Every month, Shelter features a Spirit Tasting Series and showcases a unique drink or new offering. This time around, they’ll be hosting Canadian Whisky company, Forty Creek. They’ve been one of the fastest growing whiskies in North America and have gained some well-deserved attention.
Here’s what you get at the tasting for only $65:
A full flight featuring each of the following Forty Creek drinks:
- Barrel Select
- Copper Pot
- Double Barrel Reserve
- Confederation Oak
- Honey Spiced
- Cream
On top of that, you’ll get two delicious cocktails to wash it all down. Throw in some Forty Creek spirit theory and history, along with appetizers and blind tasting contests, and you’ve got yourself a hell of a night out. Hang out as it winds down for the Q&A and you’ll really get the whole experience.

Stampede Event Space
With Stampede season coming sooner than we all think, corporate and private party-bookings are filling up fast. You don’t want to be hung out to dry come July, so take a gander at Shelter if you’ve got a party of 50 people or less. The venue is upscale, as cool as anything in town, and obviously has all the drinks a Stampede party would need.
New Menu & Happy Hour
Well, well, well. The tricky folks at Shelter Bar aren’t done with new offers just yet. How does the brand new happy hour running from 5 pm – 7 pm each weekday sound? Pretty good, eh? Lovingly referred to as ‘Shelter’s Greatest Hits’, this bad boy features all of the top drinks from their previous menus.
