A celebration of heritage and culture concurrent with the Summer Solstice, National Indigenous Peoples Day is nearly here and Edmonton will once again, be a buzz with meaningful things to do, see, experience and learn.

Two performances by internationally acclaimed Dancing Cree? This Wednesday, visit Kingsway Mall for an extra special event that will feature a spectacle of dancing, drumming, singing, and oral history teaching. You won’t want to miss it!

CELEBRATE NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY AT THE THE TELUS WORLD OF SCIENCE

This week, celebrate creativity and culture at the TELUS World of Science! With campfire storytelling, a smudge ceremony, performances and more, this event will be fun and educational for the whole family.

NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY AT THE ROYAL ALBERTA MUSEUM

A time to learn, listen, celebrate and share Indigenous resilience and excellence. This Wednesday, the Royal Alberta Museum will be hosting stories, crafting, movies, and more for Indigenous Peoples Day. Activities are included with admission, free for Indigenous Peoples.

FIREWORKS AT THE RIVER CREEK RESORT


This year, those looking for something after dark are encouraged to visit the River Creek Resort for a huge fireworks show in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day, plus it’ll be FREE to attend!
