Ready to kick off summer 2023? Celebrate the sunniest season at the first-ever Sound Atlas Music Festival in Calgary, set to bring a number of artists to several venues across the city this month.

Brought to life by new music ensemble Latitude 49, the University of Calgary and Contemporary Calgary, this “momentous contemporary music festival” will feature world-class performances and genre-mixing explorations of music and film.

“We are so thrilled to be launching the inaugural Sound Atlas Festival,” said Jani Parsons, Sound Atlas Festival director and Executive Director of Latitude 49.

“An entirely distinct festival with music that blurs the lines between Classical music, pop, folk, experimental, and contemporary performance practice.”
