Here’s where to catch ‘Movies in the Park’ in Ontario this year

Movies in the Square

Though it’s not necessarily in a park, Kingston welcomes residents to enjoy classic flicks for free at Springer Market Square.

Starting June 27th and Thursday nights throughout the summer, Springer Market Square will transform into an outdoor movie theatre, with films on a giant inflatable screen.

Grab your blankets or lawn chairs and gather your friends for a lovely movie evening under the stars.

Sorauren Park

Get ready to grab your popcorn and cozy up under the stars starting this June as Toronto’s Sorauren Park returns with its free outdoor movies this summer.

Mark your calendars because every fourth Saturday of June, July, August, and September, Sorauren Park will treat moviegoers to an evening of cinematic flicks for absolutely free.

When: June 22nd, July 27th, August 24th and September 28th, 2024

Movies & Tulips at Canadian Tulip Festival

Ever dreamt of laying in a peaceful field surrounded by tulips, all while watching your favourite movie? Maybe too specific but it truly does sound like a dream. Thankfully it isn’t!

Movies in the Park returns to Ontario and it’s your a chance to enjoy free outdoor movies among rows of colourful blooming flowers.

When: May 10th to May 20th, 2024 (Daily from 2 to 4 PM and 7:30 to 9:30 PM)
Where: Commissioners Park at Dow’s Lake, Preston Street and Queen Elizabeth Driveway, Ottawa

Movies in the Park – Whitby

Movies in the Park will be back in Whitby for four evenings. Mark your calendars for July 12th and 26th and August 9th and 30th, 2024.

All you need are some blankets, lawn chairs, and you’re set! You’ll enjoy some binge-worthy flicks on a large, outdoor screen with concert-quality sound at Whitby Civic Park starting right at dusk.

Movies in the Park – Auora

“Gather your snacks, blankets, pillows and family to enjoy a film under the open sky,” shares the town.

“Join us for this great cinematic experience of watching a movie on a giant inflatable screen.”

There will be free popcorn too so make sure to get there early – especially for the pre-movie-themed games and crafts.

Movies in the Park – Rosedale BIA

Head to Ramsden Park every Tuesday evening this June for free Movies in the Park. Starting at 8:30 PM-ish, residents are welcome to
