This $37m French palace-inspired estate is the most expensive home in Ontario (PHOTOS)

There are some seriously gorgeous homes in this province, but this one takes the cake. Listed at a whopping $37.5 million, this Mississauga estate is the most expensive home for sale in Ontario.

This French chateau-inspired dream home even has its own name — Saint George Mansion. It’s the epitome of luxury down to the finest detail, a royal palace worthy of Marie Antoinette.

The Saint George Mansion is located in Mississauga’s prestigious Doulton Estates. Given that most homes in the area are tucked away behind sprawling lawns and high gates, it’s possible that you may never catch a glimpse of your neighbours.

This property alone spans over 25,000 square feet of living space, and almost 43,000 square feet in total.

The home boasts 7 bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and 3 partial bathrooms, 25 parking spaces, a spa and fitness facility, an indoor pool pavilion, and not to mention the Great Hall with a domed ceiling, the Great Room with a limestone fireplace, and a magnificent terrace overlooking the immaculate grounds.

Saint George Mansion is also outfitted with imported materials like Italian marble flooring and sparkling stucco walls from Germany, with crystal chandeliers in practically every room, including the master bath.

However, Saint George Mansion isn’t all about pomp and grandeur. Clearly, the homeowner likes to have some fun too.

The flooring of the fitness facility is made from recycled Nike soles, and the movie theatre room features custom Lamborghini seating and a snack bar.

Plus, you can party and dance all night in the nightclub, complete with a full bar, or head downstairs for a quick cut at the barbershop.

The staggering price tag makes it the priciest property for sale in all of Ontario, even though its list price has been knocked down by $7.5 million since last year. In 2021, the mansion was for sale for $45 million.

And it’s not the most expensive house for sale in all of Canada, either. This unbelievable Whistler mountainside home has Saint George Mansion beat at $39 million.
