Montreal’s vibrant Asian Night Market to take place over two weekends

It is almost time for Montreal’s Asian Night Market! The vibrant experience is now taking place over two weekends, and it all kicks off on August 22nd.

The 8th edition of the night market will continue to Sunday, August 25th, and then returns for its second weekend on August 29th to September 1st.

The renowned Marché de Nuit Asiatique is partnering with urban art production organization MURAL, which is known for its festival of the same name.

Organizers say you can expect an even bigger and captivating program this year.

“The return of the Marché de Nuit Asiatique is excellent news. Now an essential event in Chinatown, it gives everyone the chance to discover or rediscover Asian culture in a festive, unifying atmosphere. This year’s program promises to be a memorable one, showcasing Chinatown and its attractions through artistic and culinary demonstrations in partnership with MURAL. It’s an event not to be missed, and one we’re proud to support,” said Valérie Plante, Mayor of Montréal and Ville-Marie.

Located at 1111 boulevard Saint-Laurent, the entrance will be transformed into an open-air market offering a captivating fusion of Asian-inspired culinary delights, immersive art installations, live performances and engaging experiences, according to organizers.

“The mesmerizing mural of colors, flavors and sounds will create an atmosphere that truly embraces the spirit of Montreal’s multicultural essence,” they state.

MURAL will be bringing an innovative and creative new perspective to the night market experience. Besides the food and drinks, visitors can check out art installations and live paintings.

The majority of menu prices will vary between $4 and $8, with premium dishes costing between $9 and $12, according to organizers.

Chinatown’s Marché de Nuit Asiatique takes place on August 22nd to August 25th, then the 29th to September 1st.
