Get ready to trade your cowboy boots for snow boots and have a merry Christmas with the Calgary Stampede! This December, a hoedown holiday experience is coming to Calgary, and you’re invited to dress in your finest Western wear to attend.
Taking place at Stampede Park over two weekends, it’s a brand-new holiday event where Stampede spirit meets festive cheer.
All of Calgary is invited to attend this free event with fun activities and jolly treats for everyone to enjoy. Meet Harry the Horse and Stampede royalty take in some spirited holiday entertainment, and sip a hot cocoa next to a crackling fire — all in a cowboy hat and boots!
It’s pretty much the most fun you can have during the winter months after the dust of Stampede 2025 has long settled. Join in the community spirit this Dec. 13 to 21 and saddle up!
An authentic Stampede-inspired Christmas is coming this holiday season, and it’s the most fun you can have outside of the summer rodeo.
No matter which day or night you stop by, it’s going to be an unforgettable experience with meet-and-greets, live entertainment and holiday crafts.
Plus, it all goes to a good cause. In the spirit of holiday giving, the Calgary Stampede have partnered with the Magic of Christmas, a local charity who deliver joy, toys, basic needs, and food hampers to over 650 families and 4,500 people in hospitals and care homes.
At the Little Makery, Holiday spirit and Western flair are in the air. You’ll make a wooden Western gift tag, enjoy holiday live music and take in daring circus performances from stilt walkers to hula hoopers.
On Dec. 14 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can load up your plate with a free pancake brunch and hot cocoa while the celebration continues with appearances from Stampede princesses and Harry the Horse.
It’s free for you and the fam to attend, and with a variety of delicious, festive treats, you can have your fun and get your fill too.
