Love It or List It West is a new spin-off series coming to the Calgary area, and local homeowners could have the chance to transform their space while deciding whether to stay or move.
The show is currently casting Calgarians who are ready for a major renovation and have a budget of at least $75,000. So, if you’ve been staring at that outdated kitchen and dreaming of a change, your home could be the next to get a makeover.
The new spin-off series will follow the same format fans know and love from the original, putting homeowners at the centre of the decision between renovating their current space and finding a new place to call home.
According to the Home Network, Calgary-based interior designer Amanda Hamilton will help homeowners transform their homes to better suit their needs. Meanwhile, real estate expert Robbie Kamaleddine will search for a new property that could be the perfect next chapter.
By the end of the process, homeowners will have to decide whether their renovated space is enough to make them stay or if it’s time to move on.
So if your Calgary home has good bones but isn’t quite working for your lifestyle anymore, this could be your chance to turn those renovation dreams into a reality.
According to an Instagram post by Love It or List It, if you’re looking to apply, you must currently own a home in the Calgary area, as the series is not casting in other locations at the current moment. You’ll also need a renovation budget of at least $75,000 to be considered.
If you are selected for the process, be prepared to move out of your current home for the duration of the project. The renovation process will include up to eight weekdays of filming, staggered over a six- to 10-week period, so you’ll want to be comfortable with cameras around while your home gets transformed.
If you think you’re a good fit for the new series, you can apply online and find out whether your current home could become the one you’ve always imagined.
