Spooky season! Frightful experience takes over Toronto’s most historic castle

Halloween is just around the corner, and there’s always one can’t-miss event Toronto needs to check out before we put the witch hats back in the closet.

Running until November 3rd, Legends of Horror is returning to Casa Loma for its ninth year, transforming the iconic castle into a den of terrrrrorrrr!

Done in what’s known as “promenade theatre,” you’ll get to walk through the 2 km of creepy trails at your own pace through a one-hour, interactive, spooky, theatrical event.

As you amble through the historic castle’s gardens and tunnels, you’ll be introduced to ghoulish characters and weave through each scene in a seamless blend of fright.

The whole experience culminates in a 3D projection on the exterior of the castle, which brings the characters’ storyline and walls to life.

Luckily, it’s not all terrifying. At the midway point of the experience, there’ll be a fully stocked cafe and bar where you can purchase delicious food and beverages to refuel before braving the rest of the experience.

While you can get general admission, Legend of Horror also offers a VIP Experience for two. This includes VIP entry through the express line, two drinks and food vouchers per person, and a sinister gift bag full of frightful goodies.

Rain or shine, this event will be taking place throughout October. It will also be all-ages, so you can take the kiddos during Family Hours (from 5 PM to 6:30 PM), as it’ll be less dark with no live actors present.

Fright nights are upon us! Book your tickets now online — Note that in-person tickets are first-come first-serve based on capacity.

We’re not scared…. YOU’RE scared!!

LEGENDS OF HORROR CASA LOMA

When: Thursday, October 3rd until Sunday, November 3rd
Where: Casa Loma — 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto (Entrance on Davenport and Walmer Rd)
Cost: General admission starts at $49.66
