Full honesty, we’re a little surprised that Kitsilano Pool has been named one of the best places in the world to swim by CNN. We think it’s gorgeous, don’t get us wrong, but we’re the only spot in Canada that got the nod. Here’s why.
According to CNN (but we agree), Kits Pool has all the hallmarks of a memorable swimming experience. The location on the beach offers great views of the mountains to the North and the city’s skyline. Plus, the pool is actually the oldest of its kind in North America.

So, that lands it on a list beside spots in places like Greece, Costa Rica, and France. We’re particularly fond of the one in France, which is at the base of a some-2000-year-old Roman bridge. But until we can check it out for ourselves, we’re happy to go do laps at Kits.
Gotta get in shape for the next beach season! If you’d like to check out the list in full, just click here. And for info on Kits Pool, click here instead.
