This Ontario park has towering cliffs overlooking sparkling blue water

The season of fun in the sun isn’t over just yet! If you want to finish your summer on a high note, consider a trip to the beautiful John E. Pearce Provincial Park.

Spanning 68 hectares in southwestern Ontario’s Carolinian forests, this hidden gem is a haven for nature lovers.

Here, you can take in the amazing views from the 33-metre cliff overlooking the sparkling blue waters of Lake Erie.

Once you’ve soaked up the vistas, you can have a picnic in the cool shade of the forest canopy.

If you’re up for a little adventure, hit the trails!

The Wetland ‘Storey’ Trail guides you through this lush oasis, offering panoramic views from the viewing platform and educating you with 15 informative panels about the area’s ecosystem.

Don’t forget to explore the Spicer Trail, a 1.5 km journey through the ancient hardwood forest with its own set of interpretive stops and tree identification challenges.

One of the park’s standout features is its incredible birding opportunities.
