A massive Japan festival is coming to Mississauga this summer

The season of international festivals has arrived and another major one is headed our way. Japan Festival Canada is said to be the largest Japanese cultural event in North America and it’s taking place in Mississauga this August.

The event will celebrate the best of Japanese food, culture, technology, and heritage with a stacked lineup of programming.

Visitors can expect to see traditional and modern performances, live pop music performances, and plenty of delicious Japanese food.

Last year, the festival featured a food trail and shopping area to explore with a multitude of vendors, including Uncle Tetsu, Kinton Ramen, Kinka Izakaya, Neo Coffee Bar, Ryu’s Noodle Bar, and Fuwa Fuwa Pancakes.

As for shopping, attendees got to shop from various retailers including Oomomo, Cheese Garden, Cute City, Bun Studio, Pac West Kimono, and Siamurai.

This year’s festival programming has not been announced yet, but we can definitely look forward to similar excitement,

There are many multicultural events to look forward to this August in Toronto, including the Toronto Chinatown Festival, Taste of Vietnam, Waterfront Night Market, Taste of the Danforth, and Taste of Manila.

And while you’re celebrating Japanese culture in Mississauga, you can make your way to Kariya Park just down the road from the festival, which is an authentic Japanese garden known for its gorgeous flowers.
