It turns out Seattle had one of the hottest summers on record

Well folks, not too long ago we were reporting that Seattle was experiencing one of the coldest summers on record. And it turns out that we actually had another one of the 10 hottest summers on record for the city. But with how our weather is, we’re not surprised.

So basically, things have been heating up in the city since the 2010s. And while this year’s heat is on the lower end of the list, it’s still important to note. But with that in mind, our average temperature was about 77 degrees this summer. And that seems pretty normal.

But part of what made this summer different is that we had 44 days at 80 degrees or hotter. And not to mention, a very hot start to September and all of that smoke of course. So we’ll be curious to see how our autumn shapes up.
