FINALLY: You’ll soon be able to unsend & edit texts on Apple’s iMessage

Gone are the days of drunk texts, bad autocorrect, and busted grammar! This week, during its big 2022 Developers’ Conference, Apple made some major announcements regarding future updates to their iPhone software – and good things are coming!

While there’s no official rollout date, users can expect to see the introduction of a ton of new features from iOS 16 in the very near future.

From a personalized lock screen experience and shared photo libraries to new tools for email, the mega-corp gave customers and competitors a glimpse into what’s coming – but it gets better!

As confirmed in a press release, iPhone users will also be able to unsend and even correct texts in iMessage  – which is major for those who have sloppy fingers or boozy habits.

“Users can edit or recall recently sent messages, recover recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread so they can come back to them later,” they wrote.

“In addition, SharePlay is coming to Messages, making it possible to enjoy synced content like movies or songs and shared playback controls all while chatting in Messages.”

Sadly this announcement comes just a little too late after our messiest years – but here’s to future generations keeping their dignity intact longer than we ever got to!

We’re happy for you and aren’t jealous at all. This really is great!

Good thinking Apple – these particular updates have been a long time coming!
