Here’s how to get to the popular Bluffer’s Park in Scarborough this summer

You’ve seen the photos, every year, and potentially haven’t been there in a while. The beautiful Scarborough Bluffs. And every year, the TTC has a seasonal bus that makes it easier for Torontonians to get to this spring/summer gem.

According to the City of Toronto, the Bluffs stretch for about 15 km along the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of Toronto in the west, to East Point Park in the east.

“The Scarborough Bluffs are a significant geological feature resulting from the accumulation of sedimentary deposits over 12,000 years ago. They were formed by the natural processes of wind and water erosion from Lake Ontario,” states the City.

And starting May 8, as part of the launch of the TTC’s seasonal services, the Bluffer’s Park bus returns!

The 175 Bluffer’s Park has service between Kennedy Station (on Line 2) and the popular Scarborough park allowing easier access to the region over the summer months. The TTC says that “service will operate during the morning, afternoon, and early evening periods on Saturdays and Sundays.”

On Saturdays and Sundays, service will operate starting 8 am and run though to 10 pm, and buses will arrive every 15 minutes. And don’t forget you’ll need a mask.

Expect this route to continue service through to October.

Bluffer’s Park can be accessed by Brimley Road, and it features a sandy beach, picnic areas, walks, lookouts, a boat launch and visitors dockage. While visiting, please respect the signage and avoid any closed areas.

With the weather starting to heat up, be sure to pack water and sunscreen!
