North America’s largest documentary festival, conference, and market hits Toronto annually each spring. From arcade games to zoology, Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival 2021 covers A LOT. Throughout the festival, there are a number of film screenings and live events.

What To Expect

Your selection of a Single Ticket, 5-Pack, 12-Pack, or Unlimited Pass will determine your access to the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. There are 150 titles available to stream. 

There are also a number of live events. These include Opening Night Live Q&A, Big Ideas presented by Scotia Wealth Management, Free Live Q&As presented by the NFB, Persisters: Women Speaking Up and Being Heard, Hot Docs Awards Presentation, and Rogers Audience Award Announcement.

When you watch a film, you can cast your vote for the Hot Docs Audience Awards and the Rogers Audience Award by selecting the number of stars (1-lowest, 5-highest). All voting closes at 11:59 PM on May 8.
