The world is wide and in the face of rising costs, it’s become more difficult to explore the globe’s many beaches, towns, valleys and parks. Luckily, if you’re looking for adventure but can’t afford a ticket to paradise, Hong Kong will be giving away free flights this spring!
In an effort to lure tourists back to the city after COVID, the region’s government has launched the Hello Hong Hong campaign in which 500,000 lucky people all over the world will win free roundtrip tickets to the city by entering a variety of draws or participating in different activities.

It all kicked off in March and has been rolled out in phases with those in Southeast Asia and Mainland China running their contests first. However, now it’s the rest of the world’s turn!
According to their website, those in North America can begin claiming their tickets on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at 6:00 PM PST.
If you’re successful, you’ll have nine months to travel and are required to stay for a minimum period of two days and a maximum of one month.
Flights will only be available from two departure locations (Vancouver and Toronto) and you’ll have to pay any of the additional taxes, fees, and surcharges due at the time of sale, but your base fare will be taken care of!
These tickets will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis, so don’t hesitate!
In addition, the company will also distribute visitor consumption vouchers offering everything from complimentary welcome drinks at participating bars to tickets to various attractions, so keep that on your radar as well!
