This BC park is home to limestone caves & a rock wall with a flowing spring

Looking for a path less travelled? As the name suggests, Hole-in-the-Wall provincial park is probably one of the best hidden gems of the outdoor world in BC. located in the Hart Ranges, the small but scenic park is named after the ‘resurgence spring’ that emerges from a limestone rock wall.

This striking water feature is created when water travels underground through a complex series of caves. As a result, the water flows along the surface of the impermeable rock until it reaches the surface as a natural spring.

Visitors will get a front-row seat to a spectacular blue-gray wall of limestone, with a large volume of water cascading over it into a creek.

According to BC Parks, the unique spring and the lush vegetation that surrounds it are a short 40-metre ‘hike’ away from the Sukunka Forest Service road.
