We’ve got some good news for the art lovers in the city! This week, a new installation is coming to the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Offsite Exhibition, and it looks super interesting. Opening on April 9th, the installation offers a unique look at Vancouver’s ever-evolving social landscape.
The piece comes from two local artists, Evann Siebens and Keith Doyle. Working together, the two have created a multimedia installation that combines images and sculpture, with an emphasis on how the moving body can become a political act.

On her end, Siebens collaborated with over 20 dancers, visual artists and activists, to create multimedia performances that reference recent or historical protests in the city. Meanwhile, Doyle has used this informal ‘map’ of social change to create his own representation of Vancouver’s built environment.
