Here are the wildest photos & videos from Calgary’s lightning storm last night

Another day, another Alberta Storm. Mother nature has it out for us, folks – with last week’s heatwave and now… this! As we’re sure you heard, Calgary got hit with something pretty crazy last night – something  ‘pretty crazy’ that completely lit up the sky and in some areas… even filled the streets.

Like most storms, this one started off with a severe thunder warning issued to the Calgary area.

After a bit of rain and some pre-boom winds, it wasn’t long until things lit up like the fourth of July…. It made us want a hot dog real bad. 

Unfortunately, as we mentioned earlier – some saw far more than a light show

Luckily, though, no one was reported to have been hurt – and for that, we can be thankful.

Please continue to be safe and smart out there, YYC. A storm is no joke in Alberta and this certainly wasn’t the last of ’em.
