You’re going to have to head over to Toronto Island to find Gibraltar Beach but it’s well worth the journey.

Besides the quiet, sandy beach there are a few other things to do while at Gibraltar like checking out the Gibraltar Lighthouse.

This lighthouse is one of Toronto’s oldest buildings and has been around since the 1800s.

According to Toronto Public Library, the structure is said to be haunted but we’ll leave that one up to you!

Nearby the beach are a few nature trails that are walkable and a relaxing way to break up your day of lounging in the sun.

Visitors are reminded that if they’re swimming at Gibraltar Beach, to do so cautiously and the beach does not have any lifeguards on duty.

Oh, and don’t forget to pack a lunch as the area has some picnic tables available to use or you can do it the old fashioned way and bring a blanket to enjoy your meal on the shore.

The weather is getting warmer so there’s no better time to start planning your beach, day, Toronto.
