Over the last few years, the Prairies have seen a ton of recognition on the silver screen, but none have hit Alberta quite as hard as Ghostbusters: Afterlife the latest installment of a franchise popularized in the 80s.

This, of course, should be celebrated, and what better way to do so, than with a drive-in movie night where guests can watch the well-received film in the town it was actually shot in, Crossfield.

Located only 40 minutes outside of Calgary, the adorable town has decided to kick off the spring season with an homage to Jason Reitman and the cast of the ghoulish comedy.

This month, Friday, April 29th, fans will be encouraged to pack up their cars and head to the Crossfield Rodeo Grounds between 6 pm and 7 pm, grab some popcorn at their cash-only concession stand, and enjoy!

The best part? This event will actually be free to attend, though they will be accepting donations in lieu of admission for Pawsitive Haven Animal Rescue in Carstairs.
