Toronto is getting two golf-hockey hybrid games this winter

If you’re looking for a new outdoor activity to try this winter, look no further than Frozen Fairways. This game combines two things we Canadians love most — hockey and golf.

The golf-hybrid activities will be coming to CF Markville and CF Sherway Gardens this December and January.

Those of you who were sad to say goodbye to golf season can have something to look forward to this winter because this sport is basically mini golf on ice.

Frozen Fairways is a “mini-putt experience that replaces a putter, greens and balls with a hockey stick and puck and artificial ice,” says a press release from Cadillac Fairview.

To make things even more Canadian, Frozen Fairways features nine holes with Canadiana themes, including hockey, curling, ice fishing, and sugar shacks.

This activity costs just $5 to play and proceeds will go towards Markham Stouffville Hospital, LAMP Community Health Centre, and Autism Speaks Canada.

And to kick off this special activity, Canadian Olympic athletes Michelle Li and Laura Stace will be on-site for meet and greets.

Michelle Li will be at CF Markville on December 21st from 2 PM to 5 PM. Laura Stacey will be at CF Sherway Gardens on January 2nd from 12 PM to 3 PM.

Frozen Fairways will only be open for a short time, so be sure to book your spot online in advance!
