Let the music play! After a long road, the Alberta-shot reboot of beloved TV series Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock has premiered on Apple TV+ and though reviews have just started to trickle in, it’s clear that audiences can look forward to a heartwarming and colourful season.

Created by Jim Henson in 1983, Fraggle Rock follows a cast of shaggy-haired puppets as they learn to love, share and problem solve through music and friends  – not unlike the puppeteer’s other program, The Muppets.

While a new lesson is to be learned in every episode, the rebooted show which is now executive produced by Henson’s daughter, Lisa Henson and Emmy nominee Halle Stanford, remains enjoyable, fun and appropriate for all ages.

As we reported back in January of last year, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock was picked up by the network following the success of their musical mini Rock On!

Shortly after, it was announced that The Calgary Film Centre would house production, assisting with everything from building creatures and creating the iconic cave in which Gobo, Red and Boober call home – which they succeeded in doing.

Guest-starring everyone from Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms and Kenan Thompson to the Foo Fighters, Fraggle Rock is streamer ready, back to enrich the lives of kids and their parents who need a reminder to save their ‘worries for another day.’

If you’d like to check it out and don’t already have Apple TV+, it is available on most smart TV’s, gaming devices or Apple and Android phones for $4.99 a month – or with a free 7-day trial.
