Seattle will host a massive fan event for FIFA World Cup with live streams & entertainment

They say the best things in life are even better when shared, and sports fans know that better than anyone. So get your body paint and lucky jersey ready! Seattle will be hosting a huge community fan event for the FIFA World Cup 26!

The Seattle FIFA World Cup 26 Organizing Committee (SeattleFWC26) and Mayor Bruce Harrell announced this week that the official Fan Celebration for FIFA World Cup 26 will be hosted at Seattle Center.

“Located within the heart of the city, Seattle Center is the perfect location for the Seattle Fan Celebration,” said Peter Tomozawa, CEO of Seattle FWC26. “This fan experience will create a place where fans – whether residents or visitors – can come together to watch live broadcasts every Seattle match day, be entertained by local artists, participate in on-site activities, and enjoy local food & beverage. It will be the best place in Seattle to watch a match outside of the stadium itself.

FIFA World Cup 26 is the largest international sporting event ever staged. The tournament involves three host countries, 16 host cities, 48 teams, and 104 matches.

The Seattle Fan Celebration will feature a live broadcast of all Seattle FIFA World Cup matches on a huge screen. While you’re there for the game, you can also enjoy live entertainment, hospitality areas, sponsorship activations, and educational displays. There will also be showcases for Made in Washington products, arts and crafts, and food and drinks.

SeattleFWC26 will also have a business opportunity zone. This ensures small and BIPOC-owned businesses can reap the benefits of this massive community event.

Marshall Foster, Director of Seattle Center, said “We are committed to making this an unforgettable experience for our community as well as fans from around the globe.”

This big community celebration is all about creating an accessible fan experience for the FIFA World Cup. Festivities will be easy to reach from downtown hotels and through public transit.

There are even plans to create more fan zones around the state of Washington. Locations will be announced in the coming months.

“We’re excited to welcome the world to Seattle, and create an interactive, exciting fan experience here at Seattle Center,” said Mayor Bruce Harrell.

Why watch the game at home when you can scream “GOOOAL” at the top of your lungs with the whole city?
