Edmonton is no stranger to the sport, being named the exclusive Canadian host of the FIBA World 3×3 Tour for the next 3 years. You might even say there’s a reputation to uphold…
This summer, you can compete and get a front-row seat at the biggest celebration of 3×3 basketball in Canada.
Here are all the details of what’s coming to Edmonton.
Basketball’s greatest 3×3 athletes return to downtown Edmonton this summer for the 2024 FIBA 3×3 World Tour and FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series. This event will take place on Friday, July 5th to Sunday, July 7th at ICE District Plaza outside of Rogers Place.
The FIBA 3×3 World Tour and Women’s Series features some of the top national teams in the world who will be competing on their last stop before the Paris Summer Olympics. . This summer tournament will include two Edmonton natives, Katherine Plouffe and Michelle Plouffe, who will lead the top-ranked Canada team to defend the first place title they secure in last year’s Series.
12 of the best men’s teams from around the world will also be competing for Olympic qualifying points when the FIBA 3×3 World Tour returns to Edmonton!

Now, you don’t have to be a professional player, but the ICE District Fan Park will also be hosting Hoop City 3×3 – a tournament of 250 amateur teams competing in 3×3 games throughout the weekend. Categories include U11-U18, adult rec and competitive, and a wheelchair division.
The best part is that each participant also gets tickets to watch the FIBA 3×3 World Tour and Women’s Series!
