This Ontario park has a suspension bridge over a gorge & a valley of fall colours

Nature views don’t get better than this! Ferris Provincial Park is a lesser-known gem in Northumberland County that’s open year-round but is especially beautiful in the fall.

This enchanting park has a pedestrian suspension bridge, plus incredible hiking trails, and even a waterfall.

The bridge overlooks the Trent River Gorge and the surrounding landscape of Trent Hills.

As you cross, you’ll witness breathtaking views of the waters below and the vibrant autumn hues.

Ferris Provincial Park boasts over 10 kilometers of well-maintained trails along the river and through the forests.

The hiking trail will also take you to the lookout over Ralley Falls, a wide plunge waterfall that makes for some spectacular photo ops.

As summer gives way to autumn, Ferris Provincial Park transforms into a beautiful palette of fall colours.

The park’s trees burst into hues of fiery red, burnt orange, and golden yellow, creating a visual spectacle that is truly awe-inspiring.

Wander along the trails, and be treated to breathtaking vistas at every turn.

In the spring, you will be able to spot a beautiful variety of wildflowers along the Drumlin Trail.

Other activities you’ll have access to include biking, mountain biking trails, fishing, and canoeing through the gorge.

There is also a selection of wooded and open car and RV campsites, so you can turn your visit into an overnight getaway.

If you’re looking for a scenic escape from the busy city, Ferris Provincial Park is the place to go for amazing views and total immersion in nature.
