It’s time to jump into summer, Calgary! Get your sun-soaking started off right at the ‘National’ presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows from Wednesday, June 12th until Sunday, June 16th.
This show jumping tournamnet features the world’s top athletes competing on the famous International Ring for their own chance at glory — if they can make it over the obstacles!
With tickets starting at just $10 for general admission, the ‘National’ is gearing up to be the summer’s best and least expensive event.
That weekend will see live performances on the new Spruce Meadows stage from some of Canada’s most decorated country artists like Steven Lee Olsen, Jess Moskalulke, and George Canyon, presented by Brookfield Residential.
General admission also gets you into the First Responder Displays, where you can interact with police officers, firefighters, SWAT Teams, and more. Back again for another year, you can also check out the FireFit Championships, which sees firefighters from across the country go head-to-head performing tasks commonly performed in emergency situations.
Your little ones will have plenty to do, with a free kids’ zone that includes crafts, face painting, and pony rides!
But hay, Horses aren’t the only magnificent creatures you can catch. New this summer, the ‘National’ will be showcasing amazing exotic rescue animals — including the fluffiest mini highland cows — all free with your ticket.
Keep your eyes peeled for all the refreshing food and concessions that’ll satisfy everyone’s palate, including the Presto Bistro, Aperol Piazza, Tasty Trailer, and more. Plus, you can shop the day away at the market featuring some of the best local vendors.
Parking is included in your ticket price, and at $10 for general admission, it’s a bargain that’s hard to beat!
