Happy Monday, folks! Well, another weekend has slipped by and another week is upon us. Avoid the melancholy of fall by keeping yourself busy after work. Trust us, it’s all that can be done to avoid wanting to sit at home and stare wistfully out your window.

Here are 8 things to do this week in Edmonton.

Bunuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles

A surrealist animated film that is, in turn, about a Spanish filmmaker’s surreal experience making a documentary. Heavy references to Dali, paired with unflinching looks at rural Spain during the period, make it a crazy film.

Edmonton FC vs. Calvary FC

Dubbed the battle of Alberta, Edmonton will be facing off against Calgary this Wednesday. Go have a couple of beers and a hot dog while you support Canada’s premier soccer league.

When: Wednesday, September 11
Where: Clarke Field

Toms Warehouse Sale

Looking for some fresh kicks? There’s no better deal this week than the Toms Warehouse Sale, 30,000 pairs for men, women and children are priced to sell.

While her full discography is great, we have to recognize that Lissie was featured in the final season of Twin Peaks. If David Lynch signs off, so do we.

The burlesque festival is your chance to watch some really fantastic dancing and performance art. We’re taking the high road here- burlesque is a legitimate art form and should be evaluated as such.
