We’re not going to lie to you, when we were writing the list of things to do in Edmonton this weekend, we definitely factored in the weather. If it’s a struggle just to open the front door, we’re not going to recommend walking around outside, you know?

Anyway, here are 8 things to do in Edmonton this weekend.

Beethoven’s Eroica

The first of four(!!) options for concerts in Edmonton this weekend! If you’re feeling fancy, you can go check out one of Beethoven’s most celebrated symphonies, performed by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.

Atlanta Rhythm Section

Fun fact- this band actually started as a ‘session band’ for the studio recordings of other artists. That was 50 years ago, and a few of the original members are still touring their classic American southern rock sound.

If you’re craving something a little more high-energy, then consider this drum and bass producer. He’ll be swinging by Union Hall on Friday, and of you get there before 10:30PM it’s free!

Half Moon Run

This Montreal group’s percussion-heavy sound has been described as everything from indie-rock and dreamy alt-pop to psychedelic indie. This month, sway to their angelic harmonies and vibe to their unique sound when they take the stage at the Winspear Centre.

Deep Freeze Festival

Well, at least this festival is going to live up to its name. Head down to 118th Ave for a weekend full of music, entertainment, activities, and of course, the famous deep freeze races!
