Hello Edmonton! Welcome back to another instalment of our things to do series. This weekend is looking packed, with Easter and 4/20 both going on. So, we’re here to help you make the most of it!

Here are 8 things to do this weekend in Vancouver.

Get moody with Wintersleep

This Halifax based band won a Juno Award back in 2008 for their album Welcome to Night Sky. What’s even better about the concert is their playing at the Starlite Room, one of the best venues in the city.

Do yoga in a bowling alley

A mix of legitimate yoga, bowling, and beer. Limber up before you throw a perfect game and down a couple beers. You can’t go wrong.

Watch cartoons and eat a bunch of cereal

What better way to start your Saturday than by enjoying all you can eat cereal and watching a bunch of old cartoons? The Metro Cinema is giving you the opportunity to do just that.

Enjoy a 420 Drag Brunch

Yellowhead Brewing has teamed up with Northern Chicken to bring you an incredible brunch experience. Eat your heart out while some of Edmonton’s best drag queens put on performances. It’s all you can eat, too.

Hit up a craft brewery tour

If you wanted to skip out on drag and fried chicken, but still want beer, then this is a great option. Put on by Alberta Craft Tours, this all-day event will show you the ins and outs of Edmonton’s top breweries.

Seek the Holy Grail

Maybe you’ve really been enjoying watching Monty Python’s Flying Circus on Netflix. Maybe you just love the movie. Either way, this show is an absolute classic and a perfect accompaniment to 420.

Find out what Mos Def has been up to

Yasiin Bey, formerly Mos Def, will be hosting a talk Sunday evening. Titled ‘Finding Your Voice’, Yasiin will touch on his career, his life as an activist, and what it takes to stand out.

Have fun at Metric

Metric is a Canadian institution, and worth seeing at least once while they’re touring. Their latest album, Art of Doubt, came out last September, so give it a listen and make the call.
