Via Wager Talk

How was the weekend? Hopefully awesome. We’re ready to dive into Monday and all the great things to do in Edmonton this week. Well, almost ready. Check back in after a few hours.

Here are 8 of the best things to do in Edmonton this week.

VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS AT EDMONTON OILERS

Wow, we’d love to be in Vegas right now. It’s like 25 degrees there. The Golden Knights definitely don’t need to know that, though.

Where: Rogers Place, 10220 104 Ave NW
Time: 7 pm
Cost: Find tickets here

AS YOU LIKE IT

A new musical is coming to Citadel Theatre! As You Like It is a retelling of the classic Shakespeare play with a little bit of Beatles flair. Ok, a lot of flair, especially because it’s set in Vancouver in the 60s.

When: Until Sunday, March 15
Where: Citadel Theatre,  9828 101 A Avenue
Time: See times here
Cost: Varies per performance

HAWRELAK PARK ICE CASTLES

The Ice Castles would definitely be appropriate as some ice wizard’s lair in the arctic. But, we get to experience it right here at home instead. Score one for being a super cold city in the winter!

When: Until March 15
Where: Hawrelak Park, 9330 Groat Rd NW
Time: See times here
Cost: $13.99-$17.99

DOWNTOWN DINING WEEK

For a whopping 12 days, restaurants around Edmonton are going to participate in a multi-course dining festival. Both lunches and dinners are available, and meals are priced between $20 and $50. We’re going to revisit this and give you our top picks.

Where: Venues around Edmonton
Cost: $20-$50

This is a double whammy of an event if we’ve ever seen one. Who said you can’t have a Bollywood show and a drag show in the same show? Show no, we can do what we want.

When: Thursday, March 12
Where: 10220 103 Street NW
Time: 9 pm
Cost: $10

ART GALLERY OF ALBERTA

There are quite a few solid exhibitions in the AGA this month. However, we’d be lying if we said that we weren’t most interested in Nests for the End of the World, which is quite literally exactly what it sounds like. How contemporary!

When: All month
Where: Art Gallery of Alberta, 2 Sir Winston Churchill Sq
Time: See times here
Cost: $14

EDMONTON BOAT SHOW

Looking to start dabbling in boat life? We’re looking for a friends who dabbles in boat life, so we’re happy to hit up the show with you. What do you think, the Formula 45 or the more modest Run Ray?

Time: $0-$38

HOPS ON THE HILL

Sunridge is introducing a new option for adult skiers in 2020. Every Friday, you can enjoy great local craft beers while night skiing. It’s the perfect way to get any weekend started, we think. Just don’t mix the two too much, you know?

Where: Sunridge Ski Area, 10980 17 Street
Time: 6 pm – 11 pm
