Here we go, people! What’s better than the weekend? Simple, a long weekend. That’s exactly why we’re so stoked about Friday thru Monday being full of events and festivities for everyone to enjoy. Here are our picks for 8 of the best things to do in Edmonton this Canaday Day weekend.
The Stonewall riots were a seminal moment in gay rights, there’s no doubt about it. Basically, in 1969 New York police raided a bar called the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village. Then things got worse. Anyway, remember a historic moment in front of the Alberta Legislature Building.

Starting at the end of June, this festival is a celebration of all things sand sculpture. Bet you didn’t think that it had come this far, huh? Well, we’re happy to say that it is every bit as impressive as you can imagine.

The Muttart Conservatory will be open this weekend but then closed for the next 18 months for renovations. That’s way too long to wait for your next conservatory date, people!
