Walmart to make masks mandatory across Canada next week
Well, Walmart Canada has decided to make masks mandatory for shoppers across the country, starting on Wednesday, August 12th. The move comes just a few weeks after the retail giant made masks mandatory across America.
Basically, Walmart Canada wants to ensure that customers feel safe while shopping in their stores. Additionally, many Canadian cities and regions already have some form of rule in place regarding mask-wearing indoors. So, it’s not a huge step to just make a blanket rule.

Of course, this is just the latest in a string of moves that Walmart, alongside other retailers, has taken to deal with the dangers of COVID-19 transmission. Shoppers can expect a whole range of precautions, from increased cleaning to floor markers and now, mandatory facemasks.
Well, we’re happy to hear that these companies are putting public safety first. Definitely no sense in not just tossing one on before you head out the door.
Enjoy the weekend, folks!
