While there’s no news about an actual opening date, we’re happy to let you know that the renovations and upgrades on the Muttart Conservatory are complete! The Edmonton landmark has been closed for over a year for the project, and now, it’s all done! Here’s a little more info.

Muttart Conservatory originally closed in July, 2019 for the project. While the majority of the work was replacing older parts of (mostly unseen) infrastructure, guests will notice some new touches on the finishing and the lighting inside. After all, why mess with a good thing?

The work cost some $13M to complete, but the project finished both on time and on budget, so we’re pumped. And, staff stuck around during the project to make sure all the plants in there were properly taken care of. So really, we’ve got a ton to look forward to when we return.

The original reopening date was January 19th. But, the conservatory will be staying closed until current restrictions are lifted. We can’t wait to check it out safely once more.
