If you’re looking for something new to do in Edmonton this weekend, then we might just have the answer for you. This week, the city unveiled a new public art installation at Beaver Hills House Park. Here’s a little more info on it.

The installation is called wâpos, which is Cree for ‘rabbit’. Created by Indigenous artist Jason Carter, the illuminated sculptures are meant to celebrate the arrival of spring. Presented as a narrative alongside stories and sounds, the experience is truly one-of-a-kind.

To help keep it that way, the city is requiring visitors to book a time to visit in advance, to keep things from getting too busy down there. Don’t worry though- the installation is still free to experience, like the rest of the stuff that’s a part of Downtown Spark.

Make sure to check out this amazing new art installation in Edmonton when you can, folks! It’s only here for a few days, and you don’t want to miss out.
