On Friday, August 16, 2019, Jollibee opened its doors to a massive crowd of Edmontonians waiting to get their hands on their famous Filipino food! Die-hard fans started lining up Tuesday morning to get the outrageous grand opening giveaway of free Jolly Crispy Chicken for a year.

Edmonton is the 5th Canadian Jollibee store and the first in Alberta as part of its Canadian expansion. The restaurant is located at Unit 914, 3803 Calgary Trail NW.

We got our hands on some of their most well-known dishes like the Jolly Crispy Chicken, Jolly Spaghetti, Fiesta Noodles, and their Peach Mango Pie. Here’s what we thought!

Jolly Crispy Chicken

Their most well known and the best thing on the menu (in our opinion). The skin is crunchy and perfectly seasoned, and the chicken meat is juicy. Dip it in their signature gravy and you’ll experience pure joy.

Jolly Spaghetti

The spaghetti has a savory sauce meat sauce with a mix of ham, sausage, and ground beef. It does have a slight sweetness to it that comes from banana ketchup– sounds weird but it’s actually really tasty.

Palabok Fiesta

jollibee edmonton
Also known as pancit palabok, is a dish of glass noodles tossed in shrimp sauce with toppings like shrimp, ground meat, hard-boiled eggs, and green onions. Extremely flavourful with a lot of different textures. We approve.

Peach Mango Pie

This warm dessert item is the perfect finisher. Deep-fried perfection with a flaky outside and a gooey mango and peach filling.

Edmonton, if you haven’t gone to Jollibee, what are you waiting for? They’ve got a ton more on their menu, so friendly reminder– show up hungry!
