5 great patios to check out this week in Edmonton
We feel like now that we’re really into the swing of summer, it’s a good time to take a look at which patios around Edmonton we want to check out. And lucky for us, there’s no shortage of great options. Could be a hearty meal, a quick beer, or a great cocktail. Our picks cover all of the bases.
Here are 5 patios in Edmonton you should dine at soon.
A modern classic spot known for its great beer and pizza. This is definitely our top choice for those days where we finish work and would much rather have a laugh with a couple of friends instead of making a salad at home alone. Maybe that’s just us, though.
A nice little full-service French cafe tucked away in the French cultural centre (fittingly). Swing by for a coffee and some brunch with a pal, or come 30 minutes later for lunch and opt for a beer instead. Either way, you’ll be treated to a great meal in a really relaxed setting.
One of the nicest restaurants in the city has, surprise, one of the nicest patios as well. While you might be more focused on the meal than your surroundings, you’ll still be grateful that you opted for an outdoor dining special. Especially on a nice summer day.
Back to the not so relaxed stuff. The ever-popular Mercer Tavern unveiled a new patio in June, and has been a great choice for when you’re not quite sure what you want but you know that you want something good. At least, that’s how we approach it.
Probably our number one pick off of this list. Not necessarily because the patio is incredible (frankly, it’s hard to beat the interior). Instead, we just know that sitting down for a cold, expertly made cocktail on a summer night will be a tough experience to beat.
And that’s our round-up of some patios in Edmonton that you should check out this week. And even with you don’t agree with our picks, make sure to support local restaurants if you can. Takeout, delivery, dine-in… whatever you’re comfortable with!
