Alberta’s $100k Treasure Hunt suspended due to ‘fraudulent activity’
Howdy, folks! See we talked about it the first time around, we thought we should update you on the $100k treasure hunt that was taking place in Alberta. Earlier this week, the company announced that the hunt was suspended due to ‘fraudulent activity’.
Since there’s now an ongoing RCMP investigation, the company couldn’t really share any details. However, that doesn’t stop us from speculating!
As you know, #goldhunt has been suspended + your dashboard has been disabled. Our team is under strict guidelines due to an ongoing police investigation. Our legal counsel has advised us that we cannot share any more details at this time. Watch this video.

The organizer, GoldHunt, said that the suspension was due to ‘compromised activity’ on the dashboard. However, we’re more interested in the timeline of both the Calgary and Edmonton treasures being found.
Our hunch is that since both were found just days apart, and right after the hunt went live, GoldHunt took a much closer look at things and saw something they didn’t like. However, this is all speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.
